Edward B. DeSeta, a Delaware native, began his career as a young adult in his family's sheet metal business before becoming a local builder/developer in 1971. DeSeta began buying, developing, selling real estate, and changing the face of Delaware.
An attendee at the Maine Maritime Academy and a graduate of Admiral Farragut Academy, he maintains his involvement as the current AFA Building Committee Chair- formerly AFA Alumni President, former Vice President of AFA Foundation, and former Board Member of the New Jersey and St. Petersburg, FL Admiral Farragut Academy. Active in community affairs, DeSeta has contributed his time and financial assistance to such organizations as The United Way, St. Anthony's Church, The March of Dimes, The Delaware Heart Association, The Medical Center of Delaware, and Longwood Gardens. Ed is presently a member of the Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum Advisory Board and Board of Trustee member of Christina Care hospitals in Delaware. He currently resides in Charleston, SC and has a vacation home in Nantucket, MA. Ed is married to his wife of 44 years, Wanda. They have three sons, EJ, Patrick, and Alex. |
